About

I'm a product and go-to-market guy, and a wannabe entrepreneur. I keep a high quality bar, but I've learned to make compromises and work 80/20 when it's necessary. I like stripping complex things down to the bone and executing them as fast as possible. I'm good at connecting dots in a creative way, and I find it fun. That's what I do at Mapo Tapo most of the time.
I'm 28 years old and I live in Milan. I'm from Trasacco, a small town in Abruzzo, in the middle of Italy. I've also lived in Plymouth, (Wisconsin, USA), Seattle, Madrid and Barcelona. I have a BSc in Economics and Management from Bocconi University, and an MSc double degree in International Management from Bocconi and CEMS.
I'm an outdoor sports enthusiast and an all around sport guy. I ski mountaineer, freeride, rock climb, trail run, play football and pick up a bunch of other sports along the way. I've skied or climbed in Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, Norway, Spain and Croatia. Always on the lookout for the next adventure.
Work
During my last semester of Master's in 2021, I called Dani on the phone to propose myself to get involved in Mapo Tapo, even for free. I would have never expected that after graduating I would have stayed on a permanent basis.
After 5 years, 3 pivots, 2 near death experiences (almost bankrupt), I became a late co-founder, with material ownership of the company, and COO.
In all these years I specialized in building software product and go-to-market. Here is a small sample of things I went through:
- 2021Produced a Mapo Tapo branded climbing guidebook, “The Climbing Travel Guide”, and managed all the logistics to produce, store and ship it to 1000 addresses worldwide.
- 2022Set up CRM, email marketing and sales journey.
- 2023Led the creation of a Booking Management Software for mountain guides. Managed the whole project. Designed the whole UX/UI on Figma. Bridged the gap between business requirements and tech.
- 2024Managed €150K ads budget. Led the editorial calendar for the company.
- 2025Came up with a non-ads, referral based distribution with content creators. Productized the whole process and wrote the playbook. Led a team of 8 working on this go-to-market.
- 2026Leading a technical team of 5 (3 devs, 2 GTM engineers) in building a fully automated travel operating suite powered by AI, to remove operational bottlenecks and scale the business.
I have a very high quality bar, and I can be very creative, but at the same time I'm pragmatic. I thrive in teams where everyone takes ownership and is driven by doing things the right way. I'm very curious and always open to change for the better.
